Angelo Louis Perusi, age 88 of Monroe, the beloved husband of the late Mary Del Biondo Perusi, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 3, 2011 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, with his loving family by his side. Born December 9, 1922 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Dominico and Maria (Messorolli) Perusi. Angelo lived most of his life in the home he built in Fairfield, before retiring to a condo- community at High Meadows in Monroe, where he enjoyed many wonderful friendships. Angelo attended Bassick High School and Bullard Haven's Technical school and graduated as a cabinet maker. Prior to retirement, Angelo worked for 42 years as a supervisor for the Peerless Aluminum Foundry in Bridgeport. Angelo was known for his woodworking ability, often making furniture and gifts for family and friends. Angelo was a daily communicant at St. Jude Parish in Monroe and was an active member of the 3rd degree Blessed Pope John XXIII Council 5987, Knights of Columbus and a 4th degree member of the Rev. James R. McCarten Assembly 119, 4th Degree, where he was a member of the Color Corp
